Born in Jacksonville, Florida as the second of three children, Anna grew up in an artistic family, and learned to express herself and cope with life’s struggles through ballet, later graduating from Douglas Anderson School of the Arts as a dance major.  Her artistic side tied in with her joy of connecting with others and self-exploration.  Growing up she always felt drawn to helping people and enjoyed connecting with her peers and their families with compassion and empathy.

She received her Bachelors of Science in Psychology from the University of North Florida.  Through her undergraduate courses she was drawn to the field of counseling and furthering her knowledge psychology.  Anna received her Masters in Counseling Psychology at Palo Alto University, with an emphasis in both Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy.  She is currently a Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern and is working to obtain her licensure within the state of Florida.

As a counseling major, she was thrilled to be mentored by highly experienced therapists and was influenced by their emphasis on a person center and humanist approach to counseling, treating individuals, families, and couples with compassion and unconditional positive regard.  After graduate school she was given the opportunity to work as a therapist with children and their families in Clay County, providing both individual and family counseling in the community and in school.  She worked with a multitude of issues including, trauma, anxiety, depression, suicidal ideations, and behavioral issues.

Though she loved working with adolescents and children, Anna always wanted to work more expansively with adults and couples, helping them find happiness within themselves and their relationships.  She believes in providing a person centered and humanistic approach, helping her clients become more self-actualizing and self-fulfilling individuals.  Her goal is to help you truly learn to love yourself and lead a happier, healthier, and more fulfilled life.
