As a young age, Sara always knew that she wanted to work with couples and families in some capacity.  She wanted to be able to help and impact others in the same way those throughout her life guided her in resolving struggles.

Sara received her Bachelor’s Degree in Family and Child Sciences from Florida State University.  After taking a year off to decide which career direction to take, she obtained her Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University.  She is currently a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern working to obtain her licensure within the state of Florida.

During the time Sara was working toward her Master’s, she was given the opportunity to work with youth in the Juvenile Justice System.  She assisted in admitting new youth to the facility as well as providing crisis interventions and support for the youth.

Toward the end of 2016, Sara moved on to work with youth placed in a residential facility due to any variety of behavioral and family concerns.  She provided individual and family counseling to her clients and participated in weekly team meetings to ensure each youth was receiving appropriate services.

Upon earning her Master’s Degree, Sara continued working with children and their families in the Duval County School System.  She traveled throughout Duval County providing individual and family counseling pertaining to the family; suicidal/homicidal ideations; anger management; problems with self-esteem; peer related concerns; behavioral issues; and school related issues.  She conducted numerous assessments, created treatments plans as well as performed outreach efforts by networking with other mental health professionals.

Sara decided it was time for a change and to refocus on her original goal of not only working with families, but also assisting individuals and couples discover and reach their goals.  She is dedicated to helping clients distinguish aspects in their life that may need resolving and refocus on positive life changes
